I watched a program the other day on Emergence. I like using simple explanations for complicated things - because that's how nature does it. So bizarre how nature provides us with answers to every day problems.
Emergence is the property in nature that guides a flock of birds or a school of fish - since there is NO LEADER how is this process guided?
It's guided from the ground up. It's guided by the individuals in the system of birds or fish.. And it works because none of them is trying to lead or follow. Each element (or animal ) in the system has a specific function or behavior that all adhere to. There is no leader in a flock of birds yet - they move together in harmony. There is no leader in a school of fish - but it's one beautiful event to see a large school of fish moving as one gigantic organism through the sea.
People, survived for hundreds of thousands of years - as a group, a village, a family, a community thriving off of each individuals contribution to the whole.. and we conquered the world with it. There were times where tribes and cultures ruled.
Today's corporate structures don't follow that plan and we forget the success rate we had as a species for so long - when we watch out for others, when we cared for what we shared instead of what we owned. When we remember that we cannot own what was there before we arrived. And we cannot keep what we cannot use. Today we are missing our humanity.
So when we think of how to regain what we lost - we can learn from nature that in situations when numbers are great and resources are scarce the individual thrives when as a community they contribute, consume, and operate together..schools of fish or flocks of birds.. or people earning their keep.

recognize relationships and your contributions to their current state.
When you get on a bus.
You recognize the driver - but do you know, he is your partner...
Yes he gets around... he's everyone's partner...
people get on the bus with expectations - that the driver will -
a) knows the route...
b) recognizes your communication signals ( what a bell ring means )
c) can control the vehicle well enough to get you to your destinations safely...
His expectation is that you pay your fare - and honor the "DO NOT..." signs all over the bus...
EVERY relationship has three things that make it a relationship.
1...your partner knows their role. as well as a bus driver knows his route.
2...a tool kit available to allow for proper communications -( you both need compatible kits!)-
3...a trust that your partner and you can both navigate the course ( life ) without loosing step -- see expectations 1 and two...

I cant say man and woman because people these days have entered a desperate state to maintain..
where the roles must be swapped some times for survival... if you have been there you know what I mean...
sometimes daddy gotta watch the kids! lol
While mama brings home the bacon...for him to burn....

Strong Desires and best intentions..
Strong desires are awesome and best intentions are good
We often spend time with loved ones our children in particular and we want them to do well, and be well.. And we support them as best we can. As best we can.... Think on that - as best we can..
We are creatures that live between extremes as well, too cold - we freeze , too hot - we boil, too fast we break... to slow... we atrophy.. We need things to be just right and often we have to test our limits to know where they are. Then when you have the desire to achieve your goal - and your best intentions lead you to the higher path..but... then what?
I once wrote ".. Greed is good - it keeps you from being hungry.." And I believe that's true - But AFTER your greed has fed you - don't let food go to waste because your greed won't let you share. I think beyond the struggle to achieve -because I must prepare for when I do achieve. So, beyond feeding your family - beyond putting your kids through school.. When you have achieved all that. Then what is your obligation to?
After taking care of yourself - after taking care of your family - you have NOTHING if you're standing alone. Your community is important - and beyond that your community, we all share this world with other communities.
There is no Responsibility without Accountability !

What does this mean?
If you are Responsible enough to tell someone what to do- your their success or failure you share.
If you want others to follow you - you share in their success or failure.
If you cannot do that - you should not lead.
When faced with a question you cannot answer, you should stand beside your student and learn WITH THEM. The community we share seeks to place blame because it's easier - than saying "My measure of success as a Teacher is your success as a Student of my teaching."
Accountability is important to any system to keep that process or relationship honest
As long as those who are Leading look to blame those who are learning. The entire relationship is suspect and will not produce anything of benefit to the process, system, community, village or family as a whole.
So if the instruction is sound, if those who share information are willing to assure that those who receive it are taught sincerely the integrity of the education MUST be sound. The student cannot question whether it works or not - if the Teacher is working it!!
The teacher must trust the learned - those who learn must question the teacher for their relationship to be viable. Any teacher or leader who doesn't or mustn't be questioned - is hiding something.
Without this mutual questioning - a student questions to understand better and a teacher questions to verify understanding - no mentor relationship can endure - Not an educational, not a business nor a family can stand without this simple freedom to question. Because knowing what something is, simply is not enough, without HOW to achieve it when it comes to learning.
Going to the moon and talking about it are two different things.. lol
This online business explains HOW to do it as much as what it is... because knowing what it is - is nothing without knowing how it works...
